AI and operations

Build your business’s digital operating system

If AI feels like a lot, you’re not alone.

Most people haven’t got past asking it to write an email. That’s fine. The useful part isn’t the writing. It’s using AI as an operator: taking repetitive work off your plate, connecting the data that lives in five different tools, and keeping an eye on the numbers for you.

The hard bit is fitting it into the business

Everyone can use AI now. The breakage points are rarely the tools. They’re the same booking typed in three places, the process that only lives in your head, and the admin that looks like admin until you try to hand it to a system.

The label varies: AI automation consultant, business automation consultant, business systems consultant. The work is the same. Build the systems the business runs on, then let AI operate the repetitive parts.

Operations, not just the automations

The automations only hold if the operations underneath them are clear. That means a Notion workspace people actually use, process documentation, systems that can take more volume, and enough capability in the team that it doesn’t all come back to you.

What this covers

We pick the one that fits the week you actually have.

  • The numbers in one place

So you read them, instead of exporting from five tools.

  • A path from draft to live

An approved piece of writing or a page, taken through to published.

  • A workspace people use

Notion, set up so the team can find the work and the process.

  • Enquiry handling

So a lead lands somewhere you’ll see it, instead of sitting in an inbox.

How it works

  1. 1

    Find the work

Most owners don’t see their week as a process, so nothing looks automatable. We map it together.

  2. 2

    Pick the best first fix

One loop that saves real time, not ten half-built ones.

  3. 3

    Build it with you

You see how it runs and what to do when it breaks.

  4. 4

Keep it running, if you want

If you’d like the systems maintained, that’s available month to month. Nothing here locks you in.

Not a Zapier replacement

The plumbing already exists. The gap is working out what to automate, designing it properly, building it, and keeping it running.

I write about building this on the writing page.

Questions people ask

What does an AI automation consultant do?
Finds the repetitive work in your business that AI and simple automations can take on, then designs and builds it with you. I also sort the operations underneath: the processes, the workspace and the handoff, so it keeps running. The focus is operations and marketing for small businesses.
Do I need to be technical?
No. I’m not a developer either. I built my own website with AI and run my businesses on these systems, so I explain everything in plain English.
What tools do you use?
Whatever fits what you already use. Often Notion, Google Workspace, your CRM or booking tool, and AI models like Claude.
Will I be locked in to you?
No. Everything is built so you can run it. If you’d like me to maintain it, that’s month to month.
Where should a small business start with AI automation?
With one loop that saves real time every week, such as reporting, enquiry handling or publishing. A Growth Diagnostic is a good way to find it.
